The South Asian Championship will be held in Dhaka

According to the schedule of the Asia-Oceania Kurash Confederation, the South Asian Championship, the international seminar for kurash coaches and referees will be held on March 17-18 of this year.
In the region of South Asia, kurash has reached a level of stable development in recent years. 6 of the 8 countries in the region (except Maldives and Bhutan) have official kurash federations.
Bangladesh Kurash Association started its activities in 2019, as the same year as KCAO. Kurash player from Bangladesh have been participating in continental and world championships and international tournaments.
Bangladesh Kurash Association and Bangladesh Martial Arts Confederation have received permission from the country’s government to organize the South Asian Championship.
The competitions are planned to be held in the Gymnasium of the National Sports Council as part of the cultural program “Mujib Centenary International Rankala Krira-2023”.
The Ministry of Sports and Youth of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, the National Olympic Committees are cooperating widely on the organization of this prestigious kurash festival at a high level, and on ensuring the participation of athletes from foreign countries.
