Members of the Congress – heads and representatives of national Kurash federations from around the globe heard reports of IKA President, Vice-Presidents and members of the Directing Committee on their activities over the past year.

The national teams of Uzbekistan have the highest result. In the team event, the team won 12 gold, 10 silver and 2 bronze medals.There were three top strong athletes from Vietnam, Chinese Taipei entered the tournament.

In the Congress there were given a speech to IKA Technical Director Mr.Reza Nasiri, he mentioned that Asia Continent is one of the best Confederation in IKA family. It is getting implemented by IKA the rating system for Kurash Players worldwide. This system will start as a test in Asia.

According to the calendar of Kurash Confederation Asia and Oceania, on June 17-21 this year names of new champions of the continent aged up to 20 years will be defined in this resort.

Mr. Farman appoints to this position Mr. Ziyoviddin Khodjiniyazov (Uzbekistan), who has been an integral and important member of the IKA since the year 2000. Over these years, he has also established close personal relations with various Olympic and Continental Olympic organizations, which was once again confirmed last month with his appointment as a Member of the powerful and influential International Relations Committee of the Olympic Council of Asia.

About 50 specialists from Uzbekistan, Iran, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Chinese Taipei, Iraq and other countries are currently participating in the seminar to meet the current needs for theoretical and practical aspects of Kurash.

The Kurash Confederation Asia–Oceania publishes the KCAO Calendar of main international competitions, seminars, training camps and other events for 2019.

At the meeting, Sheikh Ahmed al-Sabah congratulated with the beginning of a new era of Kurash on our continent. He expressed confidence that Kurash will be an excellent addition to the program of the Olympic Games with its charm and humanity.

More than 200 Kurash players in 15 weight categories came onto carpet to compete. At the end of the competitions, winners from 8 countries of the continent took the podium. The men's and women's teams of Uzbekistan have earned the highest results. The team members won 10 gold, 5 silver and 1 bronze medals in total. Iran and Turkmenistan teams ended the tournament with 2nd and 3rd best results, respectively. Vietnam, Chinese Taipei and India teams also occupied higher positions.
