Mr. Farman appoints to this position Mr. Ziyoviddin Khodjiniyazov (Uzbekistan), who has been an integral and important member of the IKA since the year 2000. Over these years, he has also established close personal relations with various Olympic and Continental Olympic organizations, which was once again confirmed last month with his appointment as a Member of the powerful and influential International Relations Committee of the Olympic Council of Asia.

About 50 specialists from Uzbekistan, Iran, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Chinese Taipei, Iraq and other countries are currently participating in the seminar to meet the current needs for theoretical and practical aspects of Kurash.

The Kurash Confederation Asia–Oceania publishes the KCAO Calendar of main international competitions, seminars, training camps and other events for 2019.

The International Kurash Association would like to sincerely congratulate all the winners in these nominations and wish them success in their future activities in worldwide promotion of Kurash.

At the meeting, Sheikh Ahmed al-Sabah congratulated with the beginning of a new era of Kurash on our continent. He expressed confidence that Kurash will be an excellent addition to the program of the Olympic Games with its charm and humanity.

More than 200 Kurash players in 15 weight categories came onto carpet to compete. At the end of the competitions, winners from 8 countries of the continent took the podium. The men's and women's teams of Uzbekistan have earned the highest results. The team members won 10 gold, 5 silver and 1 bronze medals in total. Iran and Turkmenistan teams ended the tournament with 2nd and 3rd best results, respectively. Vietnam, Chinese Taipei and India teams also occupied higher positions.

The Confederation operates on the basis of regional federations, based on the experience from world sports, for the common development and promotion of Kurash in all territories of both continents. In 2018, five regional federations such as South Asia, West Asia, East Asia, Central Asia and South East Asian federations will be established in the Asian continent. The Presidents of mentioned regional federations will be considered as Vice-Presidents of Kurash Confederation of Asia-Oceania on their respective territories.

According to the schedule of the Asia-Oceania Kurash Confederation (KCAO), the X Asian Championship will be held on March 22-25 this year.

The winners in a number of nominations for the last year's best was announced by Kurash Confederation of Asia-Oceania.

The training was organized in the form of lectures, presentations, video materials and practical stages by qualified experts in the management of Kim-Eur Jung, Chairman of the Disciplinary Committee of Kurash Confederation Asia-Oceania.
