KCAO announces the Asian Junior Kurash Championship

The city of Chonburi, Thailand, is one of the unique centers of international sports competitions.

In Chonburi, 70 km from the country's capital, Bangkok, many world and continental championships and international tournaments are held every year.

The Olympic Council of Asia entrusted Bangkok and Chonburi to host the 6th Asian Indoor Martial Arts Games next year. Kurash has been officially included in the program of the Asian Games.

The Kurash Confederation of Asia-Oceania is planning to hold the Asian Junior Championship in this city on September 4-8, based on the appeals received by the national federations.

The strongest athletes of our continent under the age of 20 will participate in the championship.

On September 6, in the atmosphere of the World Kurash Day celebration, 1–2-star IKA Referee exam from the Continental Championship Program will be held.

For information, based on the KCAO calendar plan, it was decided to hold the Asian Senior and Junior Championship in Bukhara on March 23-30 of this year.

However, due to the insufficient preparation of the organizing committee, the Senior Asian Championship was held in Dushanbe on March 17-21.

The Kurash Confederation of Asia & Oceania expresses its gratitude to the International Kurash Association, the National Olympic Committee of Thailand, the Thailand Sports Administration and the Thailand Kurash Federation for their great support in organizing the Asian Junior Championship.
